W
ho satisfieth they mouth with good things; So that thy youth is renewed like the eagles."
Psalms 103: 1-5

Food Tips

Eat for Success in the Business World--When you are healthy, you explode with boundless
 mental and physical energy.

1.   FILL UP on the most nutritious foods first (fresh fruits and vegetables), then eat other
foods.

2.   Add at least 10 fresh, whole fruits and 10 different, fresh vegetables to your daily
food plan. That’s 5 cups.  A trip to the salad bar could do that.

3.  Eat only whole fruit in the morning . If you have diabetes or specific health issues,
consult your doctor. Stop eating fruit one hour before lunch. Don’t eat fruit with other
foods (it makes other foods ferment or rotting causing gas and interference to digestion).

4.   Eat until you aresatisfied" in your brain, not “stuffed" in your stomach.

5.   For lunch, almost ALWAYS eat one large, green-leafy, vegetable salad with at least
10 different fresh vegetables (count them). If you are still hungry, then eat something
else.

6.  For dinner, almost ALWAYS fill up on a vegetable salad and vegetables first
(such as steamed or baked). Then eat other foods.

7.   Before you put something into your mouth, think to yourself, “Is this food FEEDING me
or DEPLETING me?"

8.   Clean out your cupboards. Do not bring the “bad guys" into your house. Keep
“good-for-you" snacks with you at all times (at home, at work, in the car).

9.  Communicate with your family about your food and fitness goals and sincerely ask
for their support and understanding.

10.  Seek a support person / team mate who will hold you ACCOUNTABLE to your
commitment to yourself, your body, and your health

BE PATIENT AND KIND TO YOURSELF… IT TAKES A LOT OF TIME TO SHED OLD HABITS AND
BUILD NEW, LIFE-ENHANCING HABITS
.

Brain Boosters for the Successful Business Person

Your diet has a direct effect on brain function. Use the following as a guide to target and
cure whatever is ailing you and your thoughts and actions:

To improve your mood: chicken, turkey, fish, bananas, pineapples, eggs, nuts, cheese, milk
and beans.

To keep your senses sharp: sunflower seeds, peanuts, lean, locally purchased red meat and fresh oysters.

To improve concentration and energy levels: salmon, mackerel, herring, walnuts, and olive oil.

To improve or maintain overall brain function: organic chicken, fish, nuts, legumes, brown rice,
whole grains, a rainbow of colorful produce and more green leafy vegetables, which can prevent macular degeneration..

  • Eating a whole foods plant based diet will let you be who you really are.

  • Switch from mayonnaise to mustard on your sandwich

  • Ordering the salad bar can get you 7-9 of your daily fruits and vegetables.

  • High Fructose Corn Syrup, known for largely causing the obesity, diabetes mess in
America, is poison and should be avoided entirely.

  • Saturated Animal fat causes immediate arterial damage to the arteries and ultimately
results in heart attacks and strokes that will kill
    50%
    of the population.

  • Added chemicals are responsible for poor work performance and abnormal behavior.

  • When we consume large quantities of red eat meat which is hard to digest, we dumb
    ourselves down.

  • Seventeen years of research reveals meat, as it is produced in Factory Farms today to be
one of the Earth's most injurious foods.
    Buy local.

  • Dairy is the second most dangerous food we can put into our bodies for many of the same
reasons; it is a saturated fat.  Cheese is liquid meat.

  • Table salt, sodium chloride, is an inorganic sodium compound formed by the union of
sodium, talc, and chloride that is
extremely toxic to the human body.
    Try Sea Salt.

  • Sugar is poison!  It is so altered  from it's original plant form that it is actually a drug
with '0' nutrients.  Bleached, processed empty calories.  Just 13 teaspoons, the amount
    of
sugar in a soft drink, will immobilize the immune system by about 33%.  Approximately
30 teaspoons will shut down the immune system for a whole day.  Astounding recent
discoveries in the world of science say that
sugar /  glucose is cancers favorite food.

  • The processing of turning whole wheat into white flour, devitalizes all the good bran and
germ, then it is bleached with
bleaching compound similar to Clorox. To replace the
nutrients lost during processing, the industry adds
    carcinogenic coal-tar-derivative
    vitamins;
'dead food' that our body cannot use nor comprehend, stresses our body, mind,
    spirit
    ,
and our ability to learn. (Harvard University)

The "I'm always on the denial road to obesity"

Be creative. While taking business or pleasure on the road, often the best meals can be found by
stopping at a local grocery store and grabbing some dried fruit, salsa and black bean chips, humus,
fresh chopped fruit ready to eat, a salad bar, or an organic yogurt and eat outside to refresh
and energize yourself.

One caveat about some of today's compromised yogurts appealing to our kids.  Parfait yogurt
desserts are no more than something good turned into a candy / food that will do absolutely
nothing to improve health of our internal ecology where diseases gets their foot-hold. Plain
organic yogurt is the best: Organic Stony Field Farms yogurt out of New Hampshire is in all
major grocery stores.
