I want the thank you for your presentation last night at Riverview Hospital Mended Hearts.  It was the best presentation that I’ve heard in twenty years.  Thank you for sharing your healthy life of cooking with all of us.  You have given me a much needed insight on my health. Thanks again for such a wonderful mind blowing presentation.

"I want to talk to your employees"

American workers want to be healthy, but they want help from their employers.

A survey by ComPsych Corp., reports that 90% of employees say they are interested in employee-assisted programs. The survey says: 42% want to eat right, 23% want to exercise, employees report low levels of energy and want to boost energy levels.  More then 74% say health and lifestyle have a significant impact on their productivity.

I have three teenage boys and I am certain that my kitchen is filled with (HFCS) High Fructose Corn Syrup.  I am slowly weaning them from it and am waiting to see if anyone in the house notices (they probably will notice most in the absence of soft drinks).   I agree with you that HFCS is a major contributing factor to our nation's obesity. Yet, the ingredient is so ubiquitous it takes effort for a even a well-intentioned consumer to swim upstream.  I agree the best defense is to read labels. Keep up the good work in getting this message out.

IN PRAISE OF FOWLER

Editor: I want to say that every time we receive Current in Carmel Magazine, the first article we love to read in the family is the one by Wendell Fowler.  He is great and it's so amazing for me to be able to find an article like the ones he writes in a "Free: magazine.  The things he says are so NOT common, the way he says them is able to reach everybody...also my kids can understand him.  Thank you for making his articles a part of the Current.
